Like Brother, Like Sister

I think the only edible part of an Oreo is the cream filled center. :) Sarah has even figured that out.

Letter B

Luke has started learning the alphabet. Every week, we are learning a new letter. Each letter, we are memorizing a special Bible verse, making a recipe, doing a craft project, and lots of other fun things. I thought I would share some of his hard work. We also made some brownies, but they were gone before I could get a picture. :) He was excited to discover a Big B all by himself on a sign when we walked by it today.

"Blessed are the peacemakers...." Matthew 5:9

Friday Swimtime

Rain or shine, we head down to the pool every Friday morning for aquatots. Luke learned how to do a sommersault under water with a mask on. He was so excited!!! Sarah was the only one willing to pose for a picture this morning.

Beach Time.....

The weather has not been great the past week, and we have only had one day of sunshine. I jumped at the chance to get everyone out of the house. I think Luke was getting cabin fever.

Miss Bubbles

One of Sarah's new words is bubbles. She absolutely LOVES having them in the bathtub and blowing them in the back yard. When I washed Justin's truck, she went nuts over the soap bucket. She kept getting handfulls of bubbles and clapping her hands together thinking it was the funniest thing.

Coast Guard Day

Here is short history lesson for those who might not know. On August 4, 1790, the Revenue Cutter Service was born to enforce federal tariffs and trade laws. Congress, in 1915, merged the Revenue Cutter Service with the Life-Saving Service, and they became known as the Coast Guard. This provided the nation with one single maritime service dedicated to saving lives at sea and enforcing maritime law. In honor of it's birthday every year, the Coast Guard members and their families celebrate all across the country. The base here had lots of fun events, but we opted for the bouncy house and obstacle course. As you can see, Luke had a blast and wasn't still for one moment.

Sarah was worn out. She took a 3 1/2 hour nap when we got home.

Happy Birthday Coast Guard!!!!!

Trout Fishing

The kids and I headed down to the pond on base to try to catch a few trout. Luke did get a couple of nibbles, but no fish this time. It was a beautiful so we enjoyed the sunshine and being outside in the fresh air.

PJ Party

Luke found a pair of his old pjs; and after trying to put them on, he decided to let Sarah wear them to bed.
